Former Open Champion Paul Lawrie to walk The West Highland Way
Aberdeen, July 29th 2010 – Scottish golfer and former Open Champion Paul Lawrie will be walking the West Highland Way next week along with his wife Marian, and 4 friends, Alan & Val Reid, and Murray & Lynda Carnie. On Tuesday 3rd August they will don fleeces and waterproofs to tackle the 96 miles challenge. All 6 people taking part with Paul are looking to raise money for The Paul Lawrie Foundation and he asks for your help in sponsoring them.
The Paul Lawrie Foundation was launched in March 2001, The Foundation has steadily grown both in popularity and reputation. It has developed a programme for under-18’s that gives them the opportunity to try golf and encourages them to develop their sporting potential.
With your support The Paul Lawrie Foundation will maintain its place as one of the leading programme’s in Scotland.
